Walmart Opens Its 100th Company-Owned EV Fast-Charging Site
Walmart has opened its 100th company-owned and operated EV fast-charging site, expanding the network to 100 stores across 20 states. The milestone matters because Walmart is not treating charging as a separate destination business—it is embedding it into places drivers already visit.

The 100th site opened in Monument, Colorado. Walmart says most of its locations use 8 to 16 fast-charging stalls, with chargers capable of delivering up to 400 kW and support for both CCS and NACS connectors.

Walmart is moving beyond hosting third-party chargers and building a network it owns and operates directly. That gives the retailer more control over pricing, reliability, payment and the customer experience. Charging can also be started and paid for through the Walmart app.
